Universo BBQ is an online shop that sells home-related products and materials.

Universo BBQ may alter at any time and without prior notice, the design, presentation and/or configuration of the website, as well as some or all of the products, and add new services.

All communications both from Universo BBQ to the client and from the client to Universo BBQ will be made by e-mail so that no information is lost or misplaced.

The customer must keep an eye on their e-mail address, as this will be the means by which they will receive notifications about their order. All incidents and complaints to Universo BBQ should be sent to the address info@universobbq.com.

The customer accepts to receive purchase invoices, returns and invoices for corrections to their returns in electronic format. Likewise, the user may, if he/she so wishes, obtain a copy of his/her invoice in paper format by requesting it from info@universobbq.com.



1 - PAYMENT.

Payment of the amounts may be made in accordance with the payment methods indicated in the shopping cart. To proceed with the payment, the user must follow each and every one of the instructions that appear on the screen, providing the information requested for payment.

Card payment: Universo BBQ has installed an e-commerce payment gateway for Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards.

All data provided for these purposes are encrypted to guarantee maximum security and are hosted on a secure server certified according to the SSL protocol. Universo BBQ states that under no circumstances does it store in any way the data provided by users through the payment gateway.

Paypal payment: With your own Paypal account or by using Paypal as a payment platform with the following cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.

Bank transfer: estimated delivery times will start from receipt of the transfer. Payments by bank transfer with shared costs will not be accepted.

Financing: There is the option of payment in instalments, subject to prior study and approval by the finance company.



2 - DELIVERY.

Universo BBQ will deliver the products purchased by the buyer to the address provided by the latter by means of a transport company with delivery at street level.

The delivery time is stated in the description of each product.

Universo BBQ will do everything possible to deliver the items purchased by the customer within the announced deadline, but it is possible that in some cases and due to causes that are difficult to control, this may not be possible.

BBQ Universe reminds customers that the delivery times of the items offered are always based on the estimated quantities of stock held by the distributor of each manufacturer at any given time, without intentionally placing more units than are actually in stock physically.

Universo BBQ will do everything possible to serve the items ordered by the client, but it is possible that in some cases and due to causes that are difficult to control, such as human error or incidents in the computer systems, it may not be possible to serve some of the items ordered by the client.

In such a case, the customer will be informed by e-mail in order to try to find an alternative option that will not be detrimental to either party.

Universo BBQ is not responsible for losses caused by errors in the address provided by customers at the time of purchase, pick-ups by third parties at the address provided or changes of address.

If, due to an error in the address provided by the customer, the material arrives in the wrong area and it is necessary to resend the material, it is the customer who will bear the new cost, which will have to be paid before proceeding again.

It is important that the customer is sure that the measurements of the ordered product are in accordance with the accesses to his home or place of delivery, paying attention to the doors, ceilings, stairs, landings, etc. The customer is solely responsible for verifying these measurements.

The customer undertakes to be at the delivery address and on the day agreed with the transport company, in order to be able to verify the conformity of the order and its condition at the time of reception.

The customer is obliged to check the order, whether he/she or the person receiving the material, and note on the proof of delivery (POD) any visible damage to the packaging. If the product received is not the one ordered (measurements, colour, model, etc., different to the one purchased), the customer must notify Universo BBQ before any installation and/or manipulation in order to proceed to immediate replacement at no cost.

Universo BBQ is responsible for the condition of the goods until the goods have been delivered to the address provided by the customer to receive the goods, without prejudice to the applicable legal guarantee rights.

The lack of conformity on the part of the customer must be pointed out and noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery and notified through the shop's customer service channels.

In any case, it is essential that the customer keeps the original packaging of the product received, including the label, as well as the material as it was received, without manipulation or repair.



3 - WARRANTY.

All UniversO BBQ products have a minimum of 3 years from delivery, if the manufacturer does not indicate a longer period than this.

The guarantee shall apply when the product is not suitable for the intended purpose, does not possess the quality corresponding to the description of the good.

It also applies when the product does not comply with the qualities and characteristics with regard to the durability of the good. This does not include deficiencies caused by negligence, knocks, improper use or handling, unsuitable voltage, incorrect installation or materials subject to wear and tear due to normal use.

If the product does not comply with these requirements, the customer may choose between repair or replacement of the good, except where one of the two options is not possible or would entail disproportionate costs for the company.

When it is necessary to repair or replace the good, the client must make it available to Universo BBQ so that, if applicable, it can recover the good in the way that generates the least inconvenience for the user, depending on the type of good.

The repair or replacement shall be free of charge for the consumer, including the costs necessary to bring the goods into conformity, in particular the costs of shipping, transport, labour or materials. Furthermore, it shall be carried out within a reasonable time from the moment the company has been informed of the lack of conformity.

UniversO BBQ makes every effort to ensure that the information displayed is correct, but cannot guarantee the exact representation of the products. Due to colour differences, differences in Internet browsing software and/or display monitors.

The site cannot be held responsible for the inaccuracy of the photographs appearing on the site with regard to colours.

Some products, whose technology and design are evolving, may be to some extent different from the product published on the website.

Universo BBQ cannot confirm the homogeneity of the production; therefore, it cannot guarantee that the product delivered is exactly the same as the one represented on the website.



4 - PRICE.

The prices indicated on the website include VAT.

Universo BBQ reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, always respecting the rates in force on the day the order is registered, subject to availability on that date.

In the event of any error, either computer or human, in the price or description of a product, Universo BBQ may cancel the order and refund the amount paid by the customer, provided that it is a difference that any informed consumer could identify as erroneous before making the purchase.

The shipping price is free for orders over 50,00 €, only for Peninsula, Portugal and Balearic Islands, excluding special destinations, for these destinations or any other not specified above, please contact us and we will try to find the best possible price for your shipment.

For orders under 50,00 €, the shipping price is 6,90 € for each order placed, only for Peninsula, Portugal and Balearic Islands, excluding special destinations, for these destinations or any other not specified above please contact us and we will try to find the best possible price for your shipment.



5 - RESERVATION OF PROPERTY AND RISKS.

Universo BBQ will retain ownership of the products sold until full payment has been made.

These provisions do not constitute any problem for the customer, as the Site assumes the risks of loss and deterioration of the products purchased, until delivery to the agreed place.



6 - RETURNS - CANCELLATION POLICY.

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within a period of fourteen calendar days from receipt of the product without the need for any justification, so that no returns will be accepted if the customer gives written notification after this period has elapsed. 

The product must be returned in perfect condition without limiting the use of the good (provided that it does not go beyond the mere verification of the good condition and functioning of the same) being prohibited the use of seals or adhesive tapes applied directly on the product and it will be the consumer who assumes the direct cost of returning the goods, so no returns will be accepted freight collect.

If the product is not returned in the original packaging, the consumer shall bear the cost of packaging and the good may be subject to depreciation.

In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, the user must notify his decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unequivocal declaration by e-mail to info@universobbq.com.

In the event of withdrawal by the consumer, all payments received from the consumer (except for the shipping costs incurred in returning the goods) will be refunded within 14 calendar days from the date on which the consumer was informed of the decision to withdraw from the contract. The company may withhold the refund until it has received the goods, or until the user has provided proof of the return of the goods, depending on which condition is met first.

The refund shall be made using the same means of payment used by the customer for the initial transaction, unless the consumer has expressly provided otherwise and does not incur any charges as a result of the refund.

In cases in which the material must be sent back to the factory to check its condition, Universo BBQ will initially pay for the cost of sending it back to the warehouse. If, after the relevant review, the SAT concludes that the product has a manufacturing defect, the customer will not have to assume any type of cost; if it turns out that the order has suffered damage caused by misuse by the customer, the customer will have to pay the costs generated by the return shipment to the factory and be responsible for the new shipment if he/she wishes to recover the material.

If the user purchases "customised", "personalised", "exclusive" or "special" products, and therefore goods made to the consumer's specifications, especially products that are manufactured with a choice of non-standard size, colour, cut or other finishes, they will not be accepted for return, An exception to the exercise of the right of withdrawal may also be made in the case of sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and which have been unsealed after delivery.
